CREMATORY Monument

558143Two years after Antiserum (2014), which was perhaps the worst ever offering delivered by Crematory, the group has made comeback with Monument, the album which is,if nothing, much better than previous full-length.

There were some changes in the band, and now Crematory has two guitar-players. This is the first time ever that they play with two guitar-players. The final product entitled Monument has some very positive moments, but this is still far from classics like Illusions (1995) or Awake (1997) or any album which was released during 90s. Don’t get me wrong, but I think that the best years are behind this band. Perhaps their last great offering was album Bolieve (2000). I could only say, that later, Infinity (2010) has touched some good-old vibes from the past.

As a matter of fact Monument sounds quite catchy, there are some cool new moments in the music and style, the prodaction is polished, everything’s sound correct. Some songs definetely have quality and enery to offer. No doubt, Felix, Marcus, Katrin and co. have putted some noticeable efforts in the brand new material. I like some songs like Ravens Calling, but its very hard to listen this new stuff when you have in mind some classics like Tears of Time, Lost in Myself or Faces and alike.  Perhaps I am too nostalgic…
