Summer Breeze 2016 Line up Bands

PRIMORDIAL

PRIMORDIAL

The combination of epic Bathory influences, Irish folk, heavy metal and incredibly intense melodies will captivate every metalhead out there. When these gentlemen from Dublin come to town it becomes clear that PRIMORDIAL are an institution with a very own style.
PRIMORDIAL write big music. Their longevity, the stability of their line-up and the intelligent lyrics make the band something out of the ordinary. The Irish giants of sound take you on a journey that is full of different facets. A.A. Nemtheanga’s voice works as a hypnotic guide on the trip through anthemic metal soundscapes. It’s a mandatory appointment: PRIMORDIAL!

SABATON

SABATON

If there is a band in heavy metal who fit the term “shooting stars of the last years”, it is undoubtedly Sweden’s SABATON. That’s why it makes us especially happy we were able to book the band led by Joakim Broden for SUMMER BREEZE 2016. And those who remember their phenomenal gig in 2013 know that they will give their all in the coming year. SABATON have promised us a “killer” show, so you can look forward to a sweat-ridden heavy metal concert with crushing tracks such as ‘Ghost Division’, ‘Cliffs Of Gallipoli’, ‘Swedish Pagans’ and other killers from their (still) current hit album ‘Heroes’. So put on your camo trousers and lubricate your vocal cords to chant NOCH EIN BIER!

SLAYER

SLAYER

SLAAAAAYEEER! Your never ending screams were finally heard! SLAYER will raze SUMMER BREEZE 2016 to the ground!
Although not long ago, after the tragic loss of Jeff Hanneman (R.I.P.) and the internal trouble with drummer Dave Lombardo, things didn’t seem to be going too well for the ultimate metal institution, their 2015 album “Repentless” felt like a release, like something our scene had never experienced before. The title track alone sufficed to make all doubters, who didn’t give a penny for Araya and Co. any more, shut up once and for all. So it was no wonder that SLAYER stormed the charts all over the world, in Germany even to number 1 for the first time ever. If you add to all this that on the following tour Kerry King and his cohorts were tighter and more uncompromising than in the last 15 years at least, there is no choice but to put them back on the throne of the (thrash) metal scene where they belong. Chapeau!
Be there when it starts raining blood over Dinkelsbühl! Hell Awaits! SLAAAAAYEEER!

NOCTE OBDUCTA

It’s not easy to establish exactly what it is about NOCTE OBDUCTA that has been captivating fans over many years. Is it the dark atmosphere, the melancholy, the experiments or the lyrical refinement? We just can’t put it into words. NOCTE OBDUCTA overwhelms the listener with emotions and it soon becomes clear that there is no need to explain what’s happening. Because the best way to experience it, feel it and be a part of it is to watch the Mainz-based band at SUMMER BREEZE. The band has a new album ready to be released in 2016 titled “Mogontiacum (Nachdem Die Nacht Herabgesunken)”. In Dinkelsbühl we will find out if the new songs work in a live setting. Come with us on a black metal journey through the whole spectrum of human feelings. An enormous variety combined with a new release make the NOCTE OBDUCTA show a happening you don’t want to miss.
